Brooke's Dedication

We did things a little different for Brooke's dedication than I had originally thought or planned. We hadn't been plugged into a church for a little while so we decided to just have a special time at my parent's house with a few people.

My dad wrote a song for me and my siblings that he sang at each of our dedications, so I asked him to sing it for Brooke. It is such a sweet song, so I wanted to share it.

Reach for the stars...

For Brooke's first 4th of July (outside of the womb) we had a BBQ and then went to Davis for fireworks. I wan't sure how she was going to do since she normally goes to bed around 7:00. Right around 8 she fell asleep and woke up right before the fireworks started. I wasn't sure if she would be ok with the noise or even be interested in the fireworks. She LOVED them! When they started she just sat there looking up and had a huge smile on her face. It was one of those moments that I will remember for the rest of my life. She continued to watch the fireworks and a few minutes into the "show" we got this...

They had close to 15 people jump out of a plane above us, right before the fireworks started and this was the last guy down. It was awesome! We had such a great day!
